കിടങ്ങൂർ കോളജ് ഓഫ് എഞ്ചിനീയറിങ് The College of Engineering, Kidangoor (CEKGR), കോട്ടയം ജില്ലയിലെ കിടങ്ങൂരിലാണ് സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്നത്. [1] കൊച്ചിൻ ശാസ്ത്രസാങ്കേതിക സർവ്വകലാശാലയിലാണ് ഈ കോളജ് അഫിലിയേറ്റു ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നത്,[2] ആൾ ഇന്ത്യ കൗൺസിൽ ഫോർ ടെക്നിക്കൽ എജ്യൂക്കേഷൻ അംഗീകരിച്ച ഒരു സ്വാശ്രയ സ്ഥാപനമാണിത്. 2000-2001ൽ Co-operative Academy of Professional Education (CAPE) എന്ന സ്ഥാപനത്തിന്റെ കീഴിലാണിതു പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നത്.[3] CAPE കേരളാ സർക്കാറിന്റെ സഹകരണവകുപ്പിന്റെ കീഴിലുള്ള സ്വാശ്രയസ്ഥാപനമാണ് കേപ്പ്.

സുപ്രീം കോടതി ഉത്തരവു പ്രകാരം ലാഭേച്ഛകൂടാതെ പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്ന സ്ഥാപനമാണിത്. കോഴ്സുകൾക്ക് ആൾ ഇന്ത്യ കൗൺസിൽ ഫോർ ടെക്നിക്കൽ എജ്യൂക്കേഷൻ അംഗീകാരം നൽകിയിരിക്കുന്നു. [4] സംസ്ഥാന സർക്കാർ, 5 ബി ടെക്ക് ബിരുദങ്ങൾക്ക് അംഗീകാരം നൽകിയിട്ടുണ്ട്.
പ്രവേശനം കേരള സർക്കാരിന്റെ കേന്ദ്രീയ നിർദ്ദേശപ്രകാരമാണ്. പൊതുപ്രവേശനപരീക്ഷയിലെ സ്ഥാനമാണ് തിരഞ്ഞെറ്റുപ്പിനുള്ള മാനദണ്ഡം. 2003 മുതൽ 50% സീറ്റുകലും സർക്കാർ ക്വാട്ടയിലുള്ളതാണ്. 35% സീറ്റുകൾ മാനേജുമെന്റ് കൈകാര്യം ചെയ്യുന്നു. 15% സിറ്റുകൾ പ്രവാസികൾക്കുള്ളതാണ്.
