893 ച:കി.മീറ്റർ വിസ്തൃതിയുള്ള സംരക്ഷിതപ്രദേശമാണിത്2.എന്നാൽ മനുഷ്യരുടെ ഇടപെടലുകൾ കൊണ്ടുണ്ടായ പരിസ്ഥിതിനാശങ്ങൾ ഇതിനൊരു ഭീഷണിയാണ്.[3] ഏറ്റവും മികച്ച തേക്കിൻ കാടുകൾ സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്നതു കൂടാതെ, കാദം നദി ഒഴുകുന്നത് ഈ പ്രദേശത്തുകൂടിയാണ്. ഒരു കടുവാ സങ്കേതമായി ഇതിനെ പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചത് 2012 ഏപ്രിലിലാണ്.[4]
