ന്യൂസിലൻഡിലെ ഏറ്റവും വലുതും ഏറ്റവും തിരക്കേറിയതുമായ വിമാനത്താവളമാണ് ഓക്‌ലൻഡ് അന്താരാഷ്ട്ര വിമാനത്താവളം.ഓക്‌ലൻഡ് നഗരത്തിന്റെ പ്രധാന പ്രാന്തപ്രദേശങ്ങളിലൊന്നായ മെൻഗാരെയിലാണ് ഈ വിമാനത്താവളം സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്നത്. എയർ ന്യൂസിലൻഡ്, വിർജിൻ ഓസ്ട്രേലിയ, ജെറ്റ്സ്റ്റാർ എയർവെയ്സ് എന്നീ എയർലൈനുകളുടെ പ്രധാന ഹബ്ബാണ് ഈ വിമാനത്താവളം.ബോയിങ് 747, എയർബസ് എ380 എന്നീ വിമാനങ്ങൾ ഉപയോഗിക്കാനാകുന്ന രാജ്യത്തെ രണ്ട് വിമാനത്താവളങ്ങളിൽ ഒന്നാണിത്. 2015 ലെ കണക്കുകൾ അനുസരിച്ച് പ്രതിവർഷം 16,487,648 യാത്രക്കാർ ഓക്‌ലൻഡ് വിമാനത്താവളം ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നു[5]. സിഡ്നി, മെൽബൺ, ബ്രിസ്ബെയ്ൻ എന്നിവ കഴിഞ്ഞാൽ ഓസ്ട്രേലിയൻ വൻകരയിലെ ഏറ്റവും തിരക്കേറിയ വിമാനത്താവളമാണ് ഓക്‌ലൻഡ് വിമാനത്താവളം[6] . മണിക്കൂറിൽ 45 വിമാനങ്ങൾ ഇവിടെനിന്ന് പുറപ്പെടുകയും ഇവിടെ എത്തിച്ചേരുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു[7].
