മൺമറഞ്ഞു പോയ ഒരു പുരാതന മത്സ്യം ആണ് ഒറോഡസ്. അന്ത്യ കാർബോണിഫറസ് - തുടക പെർമിയൻ കാലഘട്ടത്തിൽ ആണ് ഇവ ജീവിച്ചിരുന്നത്. വടക്കേ അമേരിക്ക ആയിരുന്നു വാസസ്ഥലം. ഇവ ഒരു കാർറ്റിലേജ്നുസ് (തരുണാസ്ഥി) മത്സ്യം ആണ്.
