ചെമ്പുവയറൻ ചോലക്കിളി
ചെമ്പുവയറൻ ചോലക്കിളി[2] അഥവാ വടക്കൻ സന്ധ്യക്കിളിക്ക്[3] [4] ഇംഗ്ലീഷിൽ ഒരുപാട് പേരുകളുണ്ട്. Nilgiri Blue Robin, Nilgiri Shortwing, Rufous-bellied Shortwing എന്നൊക്കെയാണവ . ശാസ്ത്രീയ നാമം Sholicola major എന്നാണ്. തെക്കേ ഇന്ത്യയിൽ പാലക്കാട് ചുരത്തിന്റെ വടക്ക് ചോലക്കാടുകളിൽ ആണ് ഇവയെ കാണുന്നത്. അടിക്കാടുകളിളാണിവ ഇര തേടുന്നത്.

വിവരണം തിരുത്തുക
നീളമുള്ള കാലുകളും ചെറിയ വാലും ചിറകുമാണ് ഇവയ്ക്കുള്ളത്. ഇവയുടെ കഴുത്ത്, മുകൾഭാഗം, നെഞ്ച് എന്നിവ കടുത്ത നീല നിറമാണ്. വയറിന്റെ നടുഭാഗം മങ്ങിയ വെള്ള നിറമാണ്. [5]

തെക്കേ ഇന്ത്യയില് 1200മീ. കൂടുതൽ ഉയരമുള്ള ചോലക്കാടുകളിലെ ഇവയെ കാണുന്നുള്ളു.[6]
ഇവയെ നീലഗിരി, ബ്രഹ്മഗിരി, ബബബുതൻ കുന്നുകൾ എന്നിവിടങ്ങിളാണ് കാണുന്നത്. [7][8]
പ്രജനനം തിരുത്തുക
ഏപ്രിൽ മുതല് ജൂൺ വരെയുള്ള കാലത്ത് ചാരനിറം കലർന്ന പച്ച നിറത്തിൽ തവിട്ട് അടയാളങ്ങളുള്ള രണ്ട് മുട്ടകൾ ഇടുന്നു. മരപ്പൊത്തിലൊ തറയിലൊ പായലുകളും നാരുവേരുകളും കൊണ്ടാണ് കൂട് ഉണ്ടാക്കുന്നത്.[9] 16-17 ദിവസം വേണം മുട്ട വിരിയാന്. [10]ക്ക്പൂവനും പിടയും ചേർന്ന് അടയിരിക്കലും കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങൾക്ക് തീറ്റകൊടുക്കലും ചെയ്യുന്നു.
