1901-ൽ ഫിലിപ്പൈൻ-അമേരിക്കൻ യുദ്ധകാലഘട്ടത്തിൽ ബലാൻഗിഗാ കൂട്ടക്കൊലയെത്തുടർന്ന് ഫിലിപ്പീൻസിൽ നടന്ന കിഴക്കൻ സമരിലെ ബലാൻഗിഗായിൽ യുദ്ധ ട്രോഫികൾ എന്ന നിലയിൽ ചർച്ച് ഓഫ് സാൻ ലോറെൻസോ മാർ മാർട്ടിർ നിന്നും അമേരിക്കൻ സേന പിടിച്ചെടുത്ത മൂന്ന് പള്ളി മണികൾ ആണ് ബലാൻഗിഗാ മണികൾ. [1]ഒരു പള്ളി മണി ദക്ഷിണ കൊറിയയിലെ [2][3]അവരുടെ അടിസ്ഥാനമായിരുന്ന റെഡ് ക്യാമ്പ് ക്ലൗഡിലെ ഒൻപതാമത് ഇൻഫൻട്രി റെജിമെന്റിൻറെ കൈവശമായിരുന്നു. മറ്റു രണ്ടു പള്ളി മണികൾ ചെയാൻ, വ്യോമിങ്ങിൽ ഫ്രാൻസിസ് ഇ. വാറൻ എയർഫോഴ്സ് മുൻ ബേസ് ആയിരുന്ന 11-ആം ഇൻഫൻട്രി റെജിമെന്റിൻറെ കൈവശമായിരുന്നു.
