[[സിറിയ]]യുടെ അതിർത്തിക്കു സമീപം സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്നു. ടൈബേയോസ് തടാകം എന്നും പേരുണ്ട് . ഇസ്രയേലികൾ കിണെറെറ്റ് തടാകം എന്നു വിളിക്കുന്നു. ഇതിന്റെ നീളം 21 കി.മീ.യും കൂടിയ വീതി 5-13 കി.മീ.ആണ് . ആഴം 49 മീ.ഉണ്ട് . [[ജോർദ്ദാൻ|ജോർഡാൻ ]]നദി ഈ തടാകത്തിൽ പതിക്കുന്നു. ഇതിന്റെ തീരത്തുവച്ചാണ് [[യേശുക്രിസ്തു]] അദ്ഭുതങ്ങൾ കാട്ടിയതെന്ന് ബൈബിളീൽ പരാമർശിക്കുന്നു.
