ഒരു [[സ്ത്രീ|സ്ത്രീയുടെ]] [[പ്രത്യുല്‌പ്പാദനം|പ്രത്യുല്‌പ്പാദന]] വ്യൂഹത്തിൻറെ ഒരു ഭാഗമാണ് ഗർഭപാത്രം(Uterus). ഇത്‌ തടിച്ച മാംസപേശി നിർമ്മിതമായ ചുമരുകളുള്ള ഒരു അവയവമാണ്. പെൽവിസ്സിലാണ് ഇത്‌ സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്നത്‌, മൂത്രസഞ്ചിയുടെ പിന്നിലും ഗുദത്തിൻറെ മുന്നിലും ആയി. ഇതിന് 7.5 സെ.മീ. നീളവും, 5 സെ.മീ വീതിയും 2.5 സെ.മീ. കട്ടിയും ഉണ്ട്‌. ഇതിൻറെ മേത്ഭാഗത്തെ ഫണ്ടസ് (Fundus)എന്നും, അതിന് താഴെ മുഖ്യഭാഗമെന്നും, ഏറ്റവും താഴെയുള്ള ഭാഗത്തെ ഗർഭാശയമുഖം(Cervix) എന്നും പറയുന്നു. ഗർഭപാത്രത്തിൻറെ മുകൾഭാഗത്തായി രണ്ട്‌ ഫല്ലോപ്പിയൻ കുഴലുകൾ തുറക്കുന്നുണ്ട്‌.
