എങ്കിലും തണുപ്പുകാലത്താണ്‌ മിക്ക പറകളും ചലിക്കുന്നത് എന്ന് തെളീക്കപ്പെട്ടിട്ടുണ്ട്.അതിനാല്‍ [[ഐസ്|ഐസിന്റെ]] ചെറിയ പാളികളും കാറ്റും ചേര്‍ന്നാണോ ഈ ചലനങ്ങള്‍ എന്ന് ശക്തമായി സംശയിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു.36 കിലോഗ്രാം തൂക്കമുള്ള കല്ലാണ്‌ ഇതുവരെ ചലനമുണ്ടായവയില്‍ ഏറ്റവും ഭാരമുള്ളത്. അര മൈല്‍ ദൂരം (800 മീറ്റര്‍) വരെ സഞ്ചരിച്ച കല്ലുകല്‍ രേഖപ്പെടുത്തീട്ടുണ്ട്.
1992 ലും 1995 ലും അനുബന്ധപഠനങ്ങള്‍ നടക്കുകയുണ്ടായി.
