1825 ഡിസംബറിൽ, ബക്ക് ക്ലാഫ്ലിൻ റൊക്സാന ഹമ്മലിനെ വിവാഹം കഴിച്ചു, ചിലപ്പോൾ "റോക്സി" എന്ന് വിളിക്കപ്പെട്ടു. പെൻസിൽവാനിയയിലെ സെലിൻസ്ഗ്രോവിൽ വെച്ച് റോക്‌സാന ജോലിക്കാരിയായി ജോലി ചെയ്തിരുന്ന വീട്ടിൽ ബക്ക് അതിഥിയായെത്തിയപ്പോഴാണ് ദമ്പതികൾ കണ്ടുമുട്ടിയത്.
