നീലഗിരി ജില്ല [[ഇന്ത്യ|ഇന്ത്യയിലെ]] [[തമിഴ്നാട്]] സംസ്ഥാനത്തിലാണ് സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്നത്. തമിഴ്‍നാട്ടിലും, കേരളത്തിലും, കര്‍ണാടകയിലും ആയി സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്ന പര്‍വത നിരയുടെ പേരു കൂടി ആണ് നീലഗിരി ( തമിഴ്: நீலகிரி). [[പശ്ചിമഘട്ടം]] മലനിരകളുടെ ഒരു ഭാഗമാണു നീലഗിരി മലകള്‍. 2,637 മീറ്റര്‍ നീളമുള്ള ടോദ്ദബെട്ട (Doddabetta) മല ആകുന്നു നീലഗിരിയുടെ ഏറ്റവും ഉയരം കൂടിയ ഭാഗം.
