ചരിത്രപരമായ തെളിവനുസരിച്ച്, [[ആന്ധ്രാപ്രദേശ്‌|ആന്ധ്രാപ്രദേശിലെ]] [[ഗുണ്ടൂർ]] ജില്ലയിലെ [[Paritala|പരിതാല]] എന്ന ഗ്രാമത്തിനടുത്തുള്ള [[കൊല്ലൂർ ഖനി|കൊല്ലൂർ ഖനിയിൽ]] നിന്നാണ് ഈ വജ്രക്കല്ല് ഖനനം ചെയ്തെടുത്തത്<ref name="andhra-pradesh">{{cite web|url=http://www.minelinks.com/alluvial/diamonds_1.html |title=Large And Famous Diamonds |publisher=Minelinks.com |date= |accessdate=2009-08-10}}</ref><ref>Deccan Heritage, H.
