കർണ്ണാടക സംസ്ഥാനത്തിലെ ചിക്കമാംഗ്ലൂർ ജില്ലയിലെ മലയോര പട്ടണവും താലൂക്ക് തലസ്ഥാനവുമാണ് ശ്രൃംഗേരി.അദ്വൈത വേദാന്തത്തിന്റെ ഉപജ്ഞാതാവും,ഋഷീശ്വരനുമായ ശങ്കരാചാര്യർ എ.ഡി എട്ടാം നൂറ്റാണ്ടിൽ സ്ഥാപിച്ച നാല് മഠങ്ങളിൽ ആദ്യത്തേതാണ് തുംഗാ നദീ തീരത്ത് സ്ഥാപിച്ച ശ്രൃംഗേരി മഠം(ശ്രൃംഗേരി ശാരദാ മഠം).▼
