'''ഒറിനോക്കോ നദി''' [[തെക്കേ അമേരിക്ക|തെക്കേ അമേരിക്കയിലെ]] ഏറ്റവും നീളം കൂടിയ നദികളിലൊന്നാണ്. ഏകദേശം 2,140 കിലോമീറ്ററാണ് (1,330 മൈൽ) ഈ നദിയുടെ ആകെ നീളം. ചിലപ്പോഴൊക്കെ ഓറിനോക്വിയ എന്നും അറിയപ്പെടുന്ന ഇതിന്റെ നദീതടം 880,000 ചതുരശ്ര കിലോമീറ്റർ (340,000 ചതരശ്ര മൈൽ) പ്രദേശത്തായി [[വെനസ്വേല|വെനിസ്വേലയുടെ]] 76.3 ശതമാനവും ബാക്കി കോളമ്പിയയിലുമായിട്ടാണ് സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്നത്. പുറന്തള്ളുന്ന ജലത്തിന്റെ അളവനുസരിച്ച് ഈ നദി ലോകത്തിലെ നാലാമത്തെ വലിയ നദിയാണ്. ഒറിനോക്കോ നദിയും അതിന്റെ പോഷകനദികളും [[വെനസ്വേല|വെനിസ്വേലയുടെ]] ഉൾനാടുകളിലേയും കിഴക്കൻ മേഖലകളിലേയും കൊളമ്പിയയിലെ [[ഇലാനോസ്|ഇലാനോസിലേയും]] (അതിവിശാലമായ ഉഷ്ണമേഖല പുൽമേടുകൾ) പ്രധാന ഗതാഗത സംവിധാനമാണ്. ഒറിനോക്കോ തടത്തിലെ പരിസ്ഥിതി തികച്ചും വൈവിദ്ധ്യമാർന്നതാണ്. വൈവിധ്യമാർന്ന സസ്യ ജന്തു ജാലങ്ങളെ നദീതടം പിന്തുണയ്ക്കുന്നു.
