പെലിക്കനിഡെ കുടുംബത്തിൽപെട്ട ഒരു വലിയ ജലപക്ഷി ആണ്
ഓസ്ട്രേലിയൻ പെലിക്കൻ (പെലിക്കനസ് കോൺസ്പിസില്ലാറ്റസ്). ഓസ്ട്രേലിയ, ന്യൂ ഗ്വിനിയ എന്നീ രാജ്യങ്ങളിലെ ഉൾനാടൻപ്രദേശങ്ങളിലും , തീരപ്രദേശങ്ങളിലും, ഫിജിയിലെയും ഇൻഡോനേഷ്യയിലെ ചില പ്രദേശങ്ങളിലും ഇവ വ്യാപകമായി കാണപ്പെടുന്നു. മുഖ്യമായും വെളുത്ത നിറമുള്ള ഇവയുടെ ചിറകുകൾക്ക് കറുത്ത നിറവും കൊക്കിന് പിങ്ക് നിറവുമാണ് ഉള്ളത്. ഇന്ൻ ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന പക്ഷികളിൽ വച്ച് ഏറ്റവും വലിപ്പമേറിയ കൊക്കുകൾ ഈ പക്ഷിയുടെതാണ്.മത്സ്യമാണ് മുഖ്യ ആഹാരമെങ്കിലും അവസരം ലഭിച്ചാൽ പക്ഷികളെയും മറ്റ് അവശിഷ്ടങ്ങളും ഭക്ഷിക്കും.
