പള്ളിയുടെ രക്ഷാധികാരികളായിരുന്ന Ferdinand III of Castile "the Saint", , 1213 മുതൽ ബുർഗലീസ് ഡയസീസിന്റെ ബിഷപ്പ് ആയിരുന്ന ബിഷപ്പ് മൗറിക്കോ ന്നിവർ ചേർന്ന് 1221 ജൂൺ 20 ന് പുതിയ കത്തീഡ്രലിന്റെ ആദ്യത്തെ കല്ല് സ്ഥാപിച്ചു.
