ബ്രസിലിലെ ഉഷ്ണമേഖലാ സാവന്ന ഭൂപ്രദേശമാണ് സെവാദു, വേൾഡ് വൈൾഡ് ഫണ്ട് ഫോർ നേച്ചറിന്റെ കണക്കനുസരിച്ച് സസ്യശാസ്ത്രപരമായി ലോകത്തെ എറ്റവും സമ്പന്നമായ സാവന്നയാണ് ഇത്. ബ്രസിലിയൻ സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങളായ ഗൊയിയാസ്, ഫെഡറൽ ഡിസ്ട്രിക്ട്,മാറ്റോ ഗ്രോസോ ദു സുൾ, തോകാന്റിൻസ്, മിനാസ് ഗെറായിസ്, ബാഹിയ എന്നിവയുടെ പടിഞ്ഞാറുഭാഗങ്ങൾ തുടങ്ങി സാവോ പൌലോയുടെയും പരാനയുടെയും ചില പ്രദേശങ്ങൾ വരെ 19,16,900 ച.കി.മീ വിസ്തൃതിയിലാണ് ഈ സാവന്ന പരന്നു കിടക്കുന്നത്.വടക്കുകിഴക്കേ പാരഗ്വായ്, കിഴക്കേ ബൊളീവിയ എന്നിവിടങ്ങൾ വരെ വിസ്തൃതീർണമുണ്ട് സെവാദുവിന്.
