ഉസ്ബെകിസ്താന്റെ കിഴക്കേ അറ്റത്ത് സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്ന ചരിത്രപ്രാധാന്യമേറിയ ഒരു നഗരമാണ് '''ഫെർഗാന''' ({{lang-uz|Farg'ona/Фарғона}}; {{lang-fa|فرغانه}} ''Farghāneh''; {{lang-ru|Фергана́}}). 2,14,000 പേർ വസിക്കുന്ന<ref>[http://www.orexca.com/province_uzbekistan.shtml#fergana Fergana province's details]</ref> ഈ നഗരം ഫെർഗാന പ്രവിശ്യയുടെ തലസ്ഥാനമാണ്. കിർഗിസ്താൻ, താജികിസ്താൻ എന്നിവയുമായി അതിർത്തി പങ്കുവെക്കുന്ന ഫെർഗാന തടത്തിന്റെ തെക്കേ അറ്റത്ത്താണ് ഈ നഗരം സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്നത്. താഷ്കന്റിന് 420 കിലോമീറ്റർ കിഴക്കും, അന്ദിജാനിന് 75 കിലോമീറ്റർ പടിഞ്ഞാറുമായി സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്നു.
