1867 [[ജൂൺ]] 28ന് [[ഇറ്റലി|ഇറ്റലിയിലെ]] സിസിലിയിൽ ജനനം. എഴുത്തുകാരനെത്തേടി ആറു കഥാപാത്രങ്ങൾ (Six Charactors in Search of an Author) ഉൾപ്പെടെ സാഹിത്യ ലോകത്തു അത്ഭുതം സൃഷ്ടിച്ച നിരവധി കൃതികൾ. 1934ൽ സാഹിത്യത്തിനുള്ള നൊബേൽ സമ്മാനം. 1936 ഡിസംബർ പത്തിന് റോമിൽ വച്ച് അന്ത്യം.
