സ്വാൻ‌സീ
ഒരു തീരദേശ നഗരവും കൗണ്ടിയും ആയ സ്വാൻ‌സീ (/ˈswɒnzi/; Welsh: Abertawe [abɛrˈtawɛ]) ഔദ്യോഗികമായി വെയിൽസിലെ സ്വാൻസി സിറ്റിയെന്നും സ്വാൻസി കൗണ്ടിയെന്നും (Welsh: Dinas a Sir Abertawe) അറിയപ്പെടുന്നു.[2] ഗ്ലാമോർഗന്റെ ചരിത്രപരമായ കൗണ്ടി അതിർത്തിയിലും തെക്കുപടിഞ്ഞാറൻ തീരത്തെ ഗെയ്‌റിന്റെ പുരാതന വെൽഷ് കമ്മോട്ടിലും സ്വാൻസി സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്നു.[3] കൗണ്ടി ഏരിയയിൽ സ്വാൻസി ബേ (വെൽ‌സ്: ബേ അബെർ‌ടാവെ), ഗോവർ പെനിൻ‌സുല എന്നിവ ഉൾപ്പെടുന്നു. വെയിൽസിലെ രണ്ടാമത്തെ വലിയ നഗരവും യുണൈറ്റഡ് കിംഗ്ഡത്തിലെ ഇരുപത്തിയഞ്ചാമത്തെ വലിയ നഗരവുമാണ് സ്വാൻസി. ലോക്കൽ കൗൺസിലിന്റെ കണക്കനുസരിച്ച്, സ്വാൻസി നഗരത്തിലും കൗണ്ടിയിലും 2014-ൽ 241,300 ജനസംഖ്യയുണ്ടായിരുന്നു. അവസാനത്തെ ഔദ്യോഗിക സെൻസസ് പ്രകാരം നഗരം, മെട്രോപൊളിറ്റൻ, നഗര പ്രദേശങ്ങൾ സംയോജിപ്പിച്ച് 2011-ൽ മൊത്തം 462,000 ആയി. കാർഡിഫിന് ശേഷം വെയിൽസിലെ ഏറ്റവും ജനസംഖ്യയുള്ള രണ്ടാമത്തെ പ്രാദേശിക അതോറിറ്റി ഏരിയയാണിത്.[4]
