യൂറൊക്ക് ആദിവാസികൾ
ഉത്തര അമേരിക്കയിലെ ആദിവാസികൾ ആണ് യൂറൊക്ക് ആദിവാസികൾ. നദിയുടെ താഴ്ഭാഗത്തുള്ള ജനവിഭാഗം എന്നാണിതിന് അവിടത്തെ കറുക്ക് ഭാഷയിൽ അർത്ഥം.[3] ക്ലാമാത്ത് നദിക്കും പസഫിക് തീരത്തിനും അടുത്തുള്ള ഉത്തര പശ്ചിമ കാലിഫോർണിയായിലാണിവർ ജീവിക്കുന്നത്. Olekwo'l എന്നാണവർ സ്വയം വിളിക്കുന്നത്. വ്യക്തികൾ എന്നാണ് ഇതിനർത്ഥം. ഇപ്പോൾ അവർ ഹംബോൾഡ് കൗണ്ടിയിലെ യൂറൊക്ക് ഇന്ത്യൻ (റെഡ് ഇന്ത്യൻ) സംരക്ഷിത പ്രദേശത്തുള്ള അനേകം റാഞ്ചെറിയാകളിൽ വസിക്കുന്നു. [4]

പരമ്പരാഗതമായി, യൂറൊക്ക് ആദിവാസികൾ ക്ലാമാത്ത് നദീതീരത്തുള്ള ഗ്രാമങ്ങളിൽ സ്ഥിരമായി വസിക്കുന്നു. ഇതിൽ ചില ഗ്രാമങ്ങൾ പതിനാലാം നൂറ്റാണ്ടുമുതൽ നിലനിൽക്കുന്നതാണ്. ഇവർ നദികളിൽനിന്നും സാൽമൺ മത്സ്യങ്ങളെ പിടിച്ചും സമുദ്രത്തിൽനിന്നും മത്സ്യങ്ങളേയും മറ്റു ജീവികളേയും പിടിച്ചും കാട്ടിൽ വേട്ടയാടിയും ചെടികളും മറ്റും ഉപയോഗിച്ചും ജീവിക്കുന്നു. ഇവരുടെ പ്രധാന നാണയം ഒരുതരം നീളമുള്ള ചിപ്പിയാണ്. ഇതു മാല രൂപത്തിൽ അണിയാറുണ്ട്.
