ധർഭംഗ ജില്ല
ദർഭംഗ ജില്ല Darbhanga district ഇന്ത്യയിലെ ബിഹാർ സംസ്ഥാനത്തെ 38 ജില്ലകളിലൊന്നാണ്. ദർഭംഗ നഗരം ആണ് ഈ ജില്ലയുടെ ആസ്ഥാനം. ഇത് ബിഹാറിലെ ഏറ്റവും വലിയ ജില്ലകളിലൊന്നാണ്. ദർഭംഗ ഡിവിഷന്റെ കീഴിലാണിത് കിടക്കുന്നത്. വടക്കുഭാഗത്ത് മധുഭാനി ജില്ലയും തെക്ക് സമസ്തിപ്പൂർ ജില്ലയും കിഴക്ക് സഹർസ ജില്ലയും പടിഞ്ഞാറ് സിതാമാർഹി, മുസാഫർപൂർ ജില്ലകളും കിടക്കുന്നു. ഈ ജില്ലയ്ക്ക് 2,279 km²വിസ്തീർണ്ണമുണ്ട്.

ചരിത്രം തിരുത്തുക
1976 ൽ ദർഭംഗ ജില്ലയിൽനിന്നും മധുബനി, സമസ്തിപ്പൂർ എന്നീ ജില്ലകൾ വേർതിരിച്ചു.[1]
ഭൂമിശാസ്ത്രം തിരുത്തുക
ദർഭംഗ ജില്ലയ്ക്ക് 2,279 square kilometres (880 sq mi) വിസ്തീർണ്ണമുണ്ട്,[2] ഇത് ഇന്തോനേഷ്യയിലെ യാപെൻ ദ്വീപിന്റെ വിസ്തീർണ്ണത്തിനു ഏതാണ്ട് തുല്യമാണ്.[3]
സമ്പദ്‌വ്യവസ്ഥ തിരുത്തുക
2006ൽ ദർഭംഗ ജില്ലയെ പഞ്ചായത്തീരാജ് മന്ത്രാലയം രാജ്യത്തെ ഏറ്റവും പിന്നാക്കമായ 250 ജില്ലകളിൽ ഒന്നായി കണക്കാക്കി. (ഇന്ത്യയിലെ ആകെ ജില്ലകൾ 640). ഇത് പിന്നാക്ക പ്രദേശങ്ങളുടെ ഉന്നമനത്തിനായി ലഭ്യമായ ഫണ്ടു (Backward Regions Grant Fund Programme (BRGF)വിനിയോഗിക്കപ്പെടുന്ന ബിഹാറിലെ 36 ജില്ലകളിലൊന്നാണിത്.[4]
ജനസംഖ്യാക്കണക്ക് തിരുത്തുക
2011 census ജനസംഖ്യാക്കനക്കുപ്രകാരം ദർഭംഗ ജില്ലയിൽ 3,921,971 ജനങ്ങളുണ്ട്,[5] ലൈബീരിയായിലെ ജനങ്ങളോളം വരുമിത്.[6] അല്ലെങ്കിൽ അമേരിക്കൻ ഐക്യനാടുകളിലെ ഒറിഗൺ സ്റ്റേറ്റിലെ ജനസംഖ്യക്കൊപ്പമാണിവിടത്തെ ജനസംഖ്യ.[7] ഇതനുസരിച്ച് ഇന്ത്യയിലെ 64മതു ജില്ലയാണിത്. (ആകെയുള്ളത്: 640). ഈ ജില്ലയിലെ ജനസാന്ദ്രത 1,721 inhabitants per square kilometre (4,460/sq mi) ആകുന്നു. Iഇവിടത്തെ ജനസംഖ്യാവർദ്ധനവ് 2001-2011ൽ 19% ആയിരുന്നു. ദർഭംഗയിലെ ലിംഗാനുപാതം 910 females 1000 males, ആണ്. സാക്ഷരതാനിരക്ക് 58.26% ആണ്.
2011 സെൻസസ് പ്രകാരം ഇവിടത്തെ ജനസംഖ്യ 3,985,493 ആകുന്നു. ഇതിൽ 3,018,639 പേർ ഗ്രാമപ്രദേശത്തും 306,089 പേർ പട്ടണപ്രദേശത്തും വസിക്കുന്നു.[8] 2011 ലെ സാക്ഷരതാനിരക്ക് 44.32% (പുരുഷന്മാർ 57.18%, സ്ത്രീകൾ 30.35%) ആകുന്നു.
