തലോഖാൻ
വടക്കുകിഴക്കൻ അഫ്ഘാനിസ്ഥാനിലെ ഒരു പട്ടണവും തഖാർ പ്രോവിൻസിൻറെ തലസ്ഥാനവുമാണ് തലോഖാൻ (പേർഷ്യൻ/പഷ്‍തോ: طالقان). ഈ പട്ടണം തലുഖാൻ ജില്ലയിലാണ് സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്നത്. പട്ടണത്തിലെ ജനസംഖ്യ 2006-ലെ കണക്കുകളനുസരിച്ച് 196,400 ആണ്.[1] മാർക്കോ പോളോ ഈ പട്ടണത്തെക്കുറിച്ച് 1275 CE യിൽ എഴുതിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. 1603 കാലഘട്ടത്തിൽ തലോഖാൻ, മറ്റൊരു യൂറോപ്യൻ സഞ്ചാരിയായ ബെൻറോ ഡി ഗോയിസ്, തൻറെ ഒട്ടകവ്യൂഹവുമായി കാബൂളിൽ നിന്ന് യർക്കണ്ടിലേയ്ക്കുള്ള യാത്രയിൽ സന്ദർശിച്ചതായി രേഖപ്പെടുത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
