ഡോക്കിൻസിയ
സൈപ്രിനിഡേ മൽസ്യകുടുംബത്തിലെ ഒരു ജനുസാണ് ഡോക്കിൻസിയ (Dawkinsia). ഈയടുത്ത് പുണ്ടിയസ് എന്ന ജനുസിൽ നിന്നു വേർപെടുത്തിയാണ് ഈ ജനുസ് ഉണ്ടാക്കിയത്.[1]

റിച്ചാർഡ് ഡോക്കിൻസിന്റെ ബഹുമാനാർത്ഥമാണ് ഈ നാമം നൽകിയത്. തന്റെ എഴുത്തുകളിലൂടെ മതങ്ങൾ വിഭാവനം ചെയ്യുന്നതിലും എത്രമടങ്ങ് സുന്ദമാണ് ലോകം എന്നു കാണിച്ചുതന്നതിനാണ് ഡോക്കിൻസിയ എന്നു നാമകരണം നടത്തിയതെന്നു ഇത് വിവരിച്ച ശാസ്ത്രജ്ഞൻ പെത്തിയാഗോഡ പറഞ്ഞു.[2]
