ജർമ്മൻ നാഷണൽ ലൈബ്രറി (ജർമ്മൻ: Deutsche Nationalbibliothek or DNB) ഫെഡറൽ റിപ്പബ്ലിക്ക് ഓഫ് ജർമ്മനിയിലെ സെൻട്രൽ ആർക്കൈവ് ലൈബ്രറിയും ദേശീയ ഗ്രന്ഥസൂചികാ കേന്ദ്രവുമാണ്. 1913 മുതലുള്ള ജർമൻ ഭാഷാ പ്രസിദ്ധീകരണങ്ങൾ, ജർമ്മനിയെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള വിദേശ പ്രസിദ്ധീകരണങ്ങൾ, ജർമൻ കൃതികളുടെ വിവർത്തനങ്ങൾ, 1933 നും 1945 നും ഇടയ്ക്ക് പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിച്ച ജർമൻ ഭാഷയിലുള്ള കുടിയേറ്റക്കാരുടെ കൃതികൾ എന്നിവ ശേഖരിക്കുക, ശാശ്വതമായി ആർക്കൈവുചെയ്യുക, ഗ്രഹിക്കാവുന്നവണ്ണം കൃത്യമായി പട്ടികയിലുൾപ്പെടുത്തി പൊതുജനങ്ങൾക്ക് ലഭ്യമാക്കുക എന്നിവയാണ് ഈ ലൈബ്രറിയടും പ്രധാന കർത്തവ്യം.[2] ജർമ്മൻ നാഷണൽ ലൈബ്രറി ദേശീയ, അന്തർദേശീയ തലങ്ങളിൽ സഹകരണപരമായ ബാഹ്യ ബന്ധങ്ങളെ പരിപാലിക്കുന്നു. ഉദാഹരണത്തിന്, ജർമനിലെ പുസ്തകങ്ങളുടെ പട്ടകയിലുൾപ്പെടുത്തുന്നതിനുള്ള നിയമങ്ങളും നിലവാരങ്ങളും വികസിപ്പിക്കുന്നതിലും അതു പരിപാലിക്കുന്നതിലും പ്രമുഖ പങ്കാളിത്തം വഹിക്കുന്നതോടൊപ്പം ഇത് അന്തർദേശീയ ലൈബ്രറി മാനദണ്ഡങ്ങളുടെ വികസനത്തിലും ഒരു സുപ്രധാന പങ്ക് വഹിക്കുന്നു. പ്രസാധകരുമായുള്ള സഹകരണം 1935 മുതൽ Deutsche Bücherei Leipzig വഴിയും 1969 മുതൽ Deutsche Bibliothek Frankfurt വഴിയും നിയമപരമായ വഴിയിലൂടെ നിയന്ത്രിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു.
