ജൊഹാൻ കൃസ്ത്യൻ ഫബ്രീഷ്യസ്
ഡെന്മാർക്കുകാരനായ ഒരു ജീവശാസ്ത്രകാരനായിരുന്നു ജൊഹാൻ ക്രിസ്ത്യൻ ഫബ്രീഷ്യസ് (Johan Christian Fabricius) (7 ജനുവരി 1745 – 3 മാർച്ച് 1808). അക്കാലത്ത് എല്ലാ ആർത്രോപോഡകളും പ്രാണികളും, ചിലന്തികളും, ക്രസ്റ്റേഷ്യനുകളും മറ്റു ചെറുജീവികളും ഉൾപ്പെട്ട പ്രാണിവർഗ്ഗത്തെക്കുറിച്ചായിരുന്നു അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ പഠനങ്ങൾ. കാൾ ലിനേയസിന്റെ ശിഷ്യനായിരുന്നു ഫബ്രീഷ്യസ് 18 -ആം നൂറ്റാണ്ടിലെ ഏറ്റവും പ്രഗൽഭനായ പ്രാണിപഠനകാരനായിട്ടാണ് അറിയപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നത്. ആധുനിക വർഗ്ഗവിഭജനവിജ്ഞാനീയത്തിന്റെ അടിത്തറ പാകിയ ഇദ്ദേഹം 10000 ത്തോളം ജീവികൾക്ക് ശാസ്ത്രീയമായ നാമകരണം നൽകുകയുണ്ടായി.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9]
