കാർലോസ് ചാഗാസ്
കാർലോസ് ചാഗാസ്(Portuguese: [ˈkaʁˌlus ʒuʃˌtʃĩniˈɐ̃nu ʁiˈbejɾu ˈʃaˌɡɐʃ], July 9, 1879 – November 8, 1934) ബ്രസീലിയൻ ശരീരശാസ്ത്രജ്ഞനും ബാക്ടീരിയോളജിസ്റ്റും ആയിരുന്നു. 1909ൽ American trypanosomiasis എന്നറിയപ്പെടുന്ന ചാഗാസ് രോഗം കണ്ടുപിടിച്ചു. ഈ സമയം റൊയോ ഡി ജനീറൊവിലെ ഓസ്വാൾഡോ ക്രൂസ് ഇൻസ്റ്റിട്യൂട്ടിൽ ജോലിചെയ്യുകയായിരുന്നു.
