നിർമൽ ജിത് സിങ് സെഖോൻ
ഇന്ത്യൻ വ്യോമസേനയിലെ കീർത്തിപെറ്റ വൈമാനികനായിരുന്നു നിർമൽ ജിത് സിങ് സെഖോൻ (പ.വീ.ച) (ഇംഗ്ലീഷ്: Nirmal Jit Singh Sekhon, PVC ) (ജനനം 17 July 1945 – മരണം-14 December 1971). ഇന്ത്യയിലെ സൈനികർക്ക് നൽകി വരുന്ന പരമോന്നത ബഹുമതിയായ പരം വീർചക്ര ലഭിച്ച ഏക വൈമാനികനായിരുന്നു അദ്ദേഹം. 1971 ൽ നടന്ന ഇന്ത്യ-പാക് യുദ്ധത്തിനിടക്ക് കാശ്മീരിൽ ശ്രീനഗറിൽ ഉണ്ടായ പാകിസ്താൻ വ്യോമസേനയുടെ മിന്നലാക്രമണത്തിൽ നിന്ന് ഇന്ത്യൻ വ്യോമസേനയുടെ ആസ്ഥാനത്തെ ഒറ്റായാൾ പട്ടാളമായി പൊരുതി വീരമൃത്യുവരിച്ച നിർമൽ ജിത് സിങ്ങിന്റെ കഴിവിനെ പുകഴ്തി അദ്ദേഹം പറത്തിയിരുന്ന നാറ്റ് വിമാനത്തെ വെടിവച്ച് വീഴ്തിയ പാകിസ്താന്റെ വൈമനികൻ രേഖപ്പെടുത്തിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. ജീവിതരേഖ
തിരുത്തുക1945 ജൂലൈ 17 നു പഞ്ചാബിലുള്ള ലുധിയാന ജില്ലയിലെ ഇസേവാൾ എന്ന ഗ്രാമത്തിലാണ് നിർമൽ സിങ് ജനിച്ചത്; [3] in the village of Isewal, Ludhiana, Punjab Province, British India.[1]പിതാവായ തർലോക് സിങ് സേഖോൻ വ്യോമസേനയിലെ തന്നെ വൈമാനികനായിരുന്നു.[4] 1967 ജൂൺ 6 നു പൈലറ്റ് ഓഫീസർ ആയി ഇന്ത്യൻ വ്യോമസേനയിൽ ജോലിയിൽ പ്രവേശിച്ചു.
