ഉമാതില്ല ദേശീയ വനം ഒറിഗണിൻറെ വടക്കുകിഴക്കൻ മേഖലയിലെയും വാഷിംഗ്ടണിലെ തെക്കുകിഴക്കൻ മേഖലകളിലെയും ബ്ലൂ പർവതനിരകളിലെ ഏകദേശം 1.4 ദശലക്ഷം ഏക്കർ (5,700 ചതുരശ്ര കിലോമീറ്റർ) വിസ്തൃതിയുള്ള ദേശീയ വനമാണ്. ഭൂവിസ്തൃതിയുടെ അവരോഹണ ക്രമത്തിൽ ഉമാതില്ല, ഗ്രാന്റ്, കൊളംബിയ, മോറോ, വാല്ലോവ, യൂണിയൻ, ഗാർഫീൽഡ്, അസോട്ടിൻ, വീലർ, വാല്ല വാല്ല കൗണ്ടികളുടെ ഭാഗങ്ങളിൽ ദേശീയ വനം സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്നു. (കൊളംബിയ, ഗാർഫീൽഡ്, അസോട്ടിൻ, വാല്ല വാല്ല കൌണ്ടികൾ വാഷിംഗ്ടണിലും ബാക്കിയുള്ളവ ഒറിഗണിലാണ്.) വനത്തിന്റെ മുക്കാൽ ഭാഗത്തിലധികവും ഒറിഗൺ സംസ്ഥാനത്താണ്.[4] ഒറിഗണിലെ പെൻഡിൽടണിലാണ് ഫോറസ്റ്റ് ആസ്ഥാനം സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്നു. ഒറിഗണിലെ ഹെപ്‌നർ, ഉകിയ എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിലും വാഷിംഗ്ടണിലെ പോമെറോയ്, വല്ല വാല എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിലും പ്രാദേശിക ജില്ലാ റേഞ്ച് ഓഫീസുകളും ഉണ്ട്.[5]
