അനൻസിയേഷൻ (വാൻ ഐയ്ക്, വാഷിംങ്ടൺ)

ദ അനൻസിയേഷൻ (Annunciation (van Eyck, Washington)) 1434-1436 കാലഘട്ടത്തിൽ, ആദ്യകാല നെതർലാന്റ്സ് മാസ്റ്റർ ജാൻ വാൻ ഐക്ക് വരച്ച ഒരു എണ്ണഛായാചിത്രം ആണ്. വാഷിങ്ടൺ ഡി.സിയിലെ നാഷണൽ ഗ്യാലറി ഓഫ് ആർട്ട്സിൽ ആണ് ഈ ചിത്രം സൂക്ഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്. ആദ്യം പാനലിൽ ആയിരുന്നു ചിത്രീകരിച്ചിരുന്നതെങ്കിലും പിന്നീട് കാൻവാസിലേക്ക് മാറ്റപ്പെട്ടു. ഒരു മടക്കുഫലകത്തിൻറെ ഇടതു (ആന്തരികം) ഭാഗമായിരുന്നു അത് എന്ന് കരുതപ്പെടുന്നു; 1817 ന് മുമ്പ് മറ്റ് ഭാഗങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ച് യാതൊരു കാഴ്ചപ്പാടുമുണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല. ഈ ചിത്രം വളരെ സങ്കീർണമായ ഒരു സൃഷ്ടിയാണ്. ഈ ചിത്രീകരണത്തെക്കുറിച്ച് കലാചരിത്രകാരന്മാർ ഇപ്പോഴും ചർച്ച ചെയ്യുന്നു.

  Circle of van Eyck, or Petrus Christus. Friedsam Annunciation from the Metropolitan; the right side of the doorway is Romanesque (Old Covenant), and the left Gothic (New Covenant). The garden is overgrown, with the outer wall falling down.
