അദ്നാൻ
അറബികളുടെ പൂർവപിതാക്കളുൾപ്പെടുന്ന ഒരു ഗോത്രവർഗമാണ് അദ്നാൻ. (അറബി: عدنان)അറേബ്യൻ ഉപഭൂഖണ്ഡത്തിൻറെ പടിഞ്ഞാറെ ഭാഗത്തായാണ് ഈ ഗോത്രം ആദ്യ കാലത്ത് കഴിഞ്ഞിരുന്നത്..[1]പാരമ്പര്യമായി ഇസ്മാഈൽ നബിയുടെ പിൻഗാമികളായി തെക്ക് -പടിഞ്ഞാറെ അറേബ്യയിൽ കഴിഞ്ഞിരുന്ന വംശമാണ് ഇവരുടെ പിതാക്കൾ.[2][3][4][5]
നിരവധി അറേബ്യൻ പണ്ഡിതന്മാരുടെ അഭിപ്രായത്തിൽ അദ്നാൻ എന്നത് ഇസ്മാഈൽ നബിയുടെ മകനായ കേദാറിൻറെ പിൻഗാമികളാണെന്നാണ്.
[5][6][7][8][9] എന്നാൽ ഇബ്നു ഇസ്ഹാഖിന് വ്യത്യസ്ത അഭിപ്രായമാണുള്ളത്.അദ്ദേഹത്തിൻറെ അഭിപ്രായത്തിൽ നെബയോത്തിൻറെ പിൻഗാമികളാണ് അദ്നാൻ വംശം എന്നാണ്.[10]
