ഛിന്നഗ്രഹം
ഛിന്നഗ്രഹ വലയത്തിന്റെ ഏറ്റവും ഉൾഭാഗത്തു സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്ന ഒരു ഛിന്നഗ്രഹമാണ് 951 ഗാസ്പ്ര. 1916ൽ ജി.എൻ. ന്യൂജ്മിൻ എന്ന റഷ്യൻ ശാസ്ത്രജ്ഞനാണ് 951 ഗാസ്പ്ര കണ്ടെത്തിയത്. 1991 ഒക്ടോബർ 21൹ ഗലീലിയോ ബഹിരാകാശ പേടകം ഇതിന്റെ 57 ഫോട്ടോകൾ എടുത്ത് ഭൂമിയിലേക്കയച്ചു. ഒരു ബഹിരാകാശ പേടകത്തിൽ നിന്ന് ലഭിച്ച ഛിന്നഗ്രഹത്തിന്റെ ആദ്യഫോട്ടോ ആയിരുന്നു ഇത്. 1600കി.മീറ്റർ അകലെ കൂടെ സെക്കന്റിൽ 8കി.മീറ്റർ വേഗതയിൽ സഞ്ചരിച്ചുകൊണ്ടാണ് ഗലീലിയോ ഈ ചിത്രങ്ങൾ പകർത്തിയത്.[6]
