മാക്കറോണി പെൻഗ്വിൻ
വംശനാശ ഭീഷണി നേരിടുന്ന ഒരിനം പെൻഗ്വിൻ ആണ് മാക്കറോണി പെൻഗ്വിൻ ( Macaroni penguin ) . Eudyptes chrysolophus എന്ന ശാസ്ത്രനാമത്തിൽ അറിയപ്പെടുന്ന ഇവ ദക്ഷിണ അറ്റ്‌ലാൻറ്റിക്ക് പ്രദേശത്ത് കണ്ടുവരുന്നു.

സവിശേഷതകൾ തിരുത്തുക
നല്ല മഞ്ഞ നിറത്തിലുള്ള കൺപുരികങ്ങൾ ആണ് ഇവയുടെ പ്രധാന സവിശേഷത. അന്റാർട്ടിക്ക പ്രദേശത്തെ കുന്നിൻ ചെരിവുകളിൽ ഇവ കൂട് കൂട്ടുന്നു. 65-75 cm വരെ നീളം ഉള്ള ഇവയ്ക്ക് ഏകദേശം 6.4 kg വരെ ഭാരം ഉണ്ടാകുന്നു.
