മഴക്കൊച്ച
കുളക്കൊക്കിനേക്കാൾ അല്പം ചെറിയ പക്ഷിയാണു് മഴക്കൊച്ച.[2] [3][4][5] സന്ധ്യകൊക്ക് എന്നും അറിയപ്പെടുന്നുണ്ടു്. ഈ പക്ഷി ആകെപ്പാടെ ചെമ്പിച്ച നിറമാണുള്ളത്. നനവുള്ള പാടങ്ങളിലും, പുഴയുടെയും മറ്റും സമീപത്തുള്ള ചെടികൾക്കിടയിലും മറ്റും വാസം.പൊതുവേ ഭീരുക്കളാണ്. എന്നാൽ മഴക്കാലത്ത് സദാസമയം പറന്നുനടക്കുന്നതും കാണാം.
