പച്ച എരണ്ട
കേരളത്തിൽ കാണുന്ന ഏറ്റവും ചെറിയ എരണ്ടയാണ് പച്ച എരണ്ട.[2] [3][4][5] താറാവിന്റെ രൂപമുള്ള ചെറിയ പക്ഷിയാണ്. ഇംഗ്ലീഷിൽ Cotton Teal അല്ലെങ്കിൽ Cotton Pygmy Goose എന്നാണ് പേര്.ചൈനയി കാണുന്നവ ദീർഘ ദൂര ദേശാടകരാണ്. എന്നാൽ ഭാരതത്തിൽ കാണുന്നവ അധിക ദൂരം ദേശാടനം നടത്താറില്ല. [6]

ശരീരത്തിന് പച്ചനിറമുണ്ട്. കണ്ണിനുമുകളിലൂടെ ഇരുണ്ടവരയുണ്ട്.കറുത്ത കോളറുണ്ട്. ആണിനും പെണ്ണിനും ഒരേ നിറമാണ്. മുട്ടയിടുന്ന കാലത്ത് വേറെ നിറമായിരിക്കും.
ചെറു ജീവികളും ജലസസ്യങ്ങളും വിത്തുകളുമാണ് ഭക്ഷണം.
മുട്ടയിടുന്നത് മരപ്പൊത്തുകളിലാണ്.
