തെക്കേ അമേരിക്കയിലെ ആൻ‌ഡീസിൽ നിന്നുള്ള ന്യൂ വേൾഡ് ജെയ്‌സിലെ ഒരിനം പക്ഷിയാണ് ഇൻക ജയ്. (ശാസ്ത്രീയനാമം: Cyanocorax yncas)

ചില പക്ഷിശാസ്ത്രജ്ഞർ വടക്കേ അമേരിക്കയിലെ ഗ്രീൻ ജെയായും ഇൻക ജെയെയും കോൺസ്പെസെഫിക് ആയും സി. യാൻ‌കാസ് ലക്‌സുവോസസിനെ ഗ്രീൻ ജെയായും സി. യാൻ‌കാസ് യാൻ‌കാസ്, ഇൻക ജെയായും കണക്കാക്കുന്നു.[2][3]
വിവരണം തിരുത്തുക
29.5 മുതൽ 34.3 സെ.മീ വരെയാണ് സാധാരണ വലിപ്പം വെയ്ക്കുക. ഉച്ചിഭാഗം മിക്കവാറും വെളുപ്പ് നിറത്തിലും മുൻഭാഗം നീലയിലും കാണപ്പെടുന്നു. നെഞ്ചും അടിഭാഗവും മഞ്ഞനിറവും മുകൾ ഭാഗം പച്ചനിറത്തിലുമാണ്. ഇവയുടെ ഐറിസ് ഭാഗം തിളക്കമുള്ള മഞ്ഞ നിറത്തിൽ കാണുന്നു.[4]
ശബ്ദം തിരുത്തുക
മിക്ക സാധാരണ ജെയ്‌സുകളെയും പോലെ, ഈ ഇനത്തിനും വളരെ വിപുലമായ ശബ്ദ ശേഖരം കാണപ്പെടുന്നു. ഈ പക്ഷി ഏറ്റവും സാധാരണമായി ഒരു റാഷ്-റാഷ്-റാഷ് ശബ്ദമുണ്ടാക്കുന്നു. പക്ഷേ മറ്റ് അസാധാരണ ശബ്ദങ്ങളും ശ്രദ്ധിക്കപ്പെട്ടിട്ടുണ്ട്. ഏറ്റവും ഒറ്റപ്പെട്ട ശബ്ദങ്ങളിലൊന്ന് അലാറം മണി പോലെ തോന്നുന്നു.
