ഇലപ്പേൻ

ചെടികളില് നിന്ന് നീരുറ്റിക്കുടിക്കുന്ന ഒരു കീടമാണ് ഇലപ്പേന്(Thrips). നെല്ല്, പച്ചക്കറികൾ തുടങ്ങിയ വിളകളിലാന് ഇലപ്പേനിന്റെ ആക്രമണം കൂടുതലായി കണ്ടുവരുന്നത്. ഇലകളിലും പൂക്കളിലും തണല് ഉള്ള ഭാഗങ്ങളില് ഇലപ്പേന് ധാരാളമായി കാണുന്നു. ഇലപ്പേനിനെ നിയന്ത്രിക്കുവാൻ പുകയില കഷായം തളിക്കുന്നത് നല്ലതാണ്.
