ആൽഡസ് ഹക്സിലി

ഇംഗ്ലണ്ടിലെ ഏറ്റവും പ്രമുഖരായ എഴുത്തുകാരിൽ ഒരാളായിരുന്നു ആൽഡസ് ലിയോനാർഡ് ഹക്സിലി(26 ജൂലായ് 1894 – 22 നവം: 1963).പ്രശസ്തമായ ഹക്സിലി കുടുംബത്തിലായിരുന്നു അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ജനനം.അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ കൃതികളിൽ വിവിധ വിഷയങ്ങളാണു കൈകാര്യം ചെയ്യപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നത്. കൂടാതെ മാസികയായ 'ഓക്സ്ഫോർഡ് പോയട്രി'യുടെ ഏഡിറ്ററായും പ്രവർത്തിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.നിരവധി ചെറുകഥകളും,നോവലുകളും,തിരക്കഥകളും,പദ്യകൃതികളും,സഞ്ചാര വിവരണങ്ങളൂം അദ്ദേഹം തന്റെ ജീവിതകാലത്തു രചിച്ചു .1937 മുതൽ മരണം വരെ ലോസാഞ്ചലസിലാണു അദ്ദേഹം ശിഷ്ടകാലം ചിലവഴിച്ചത്.
