ആർതർ എഡ്വേർഡ് ഗൈൽസ്
ഒരു ഗൈനക്കോളജിസ്റ്റായിരുന്നു ആർതർ എഡ്വേർഡ് ഗൈൽസ് FRCOG FRCS (1864-1936) . അദ്ദേഹം 1893-ൽ ചെൽസി ഹോസ്പിറ്റലിൽ ഔട്ട്-പേഷ്യന്റ്സ് ഫിസിഷ്യനായി നിയമിതനായി.[1] റോയൽ കോളേജ് ഓഫ് ഒബ്‌സ്റ്റട്രീഷ്യൻസ് ആൻഡ് ഗൈനക്കോളജിസ്റ്റുകളുടെ സ്ഥാപക അംഗമായിരുന്നു. [2]
ആദ്യകാല ജീവിതവും വിദ്യാഭ്യാസവും തിരുത്തുക
1864 ഡിസംബർ 22-ന് ജനിച്ച അദ്ദേഹം സിറ്റി ഓഫ് ലണ്ടൻ സ്‌കൂൾ, മാഞ്ചസ്റ്റർ ഗ്രാമർ സ്‌കൂൾ, ഹാവ്രെയിലെ ലൈസി എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിൽ നിന്ന് പ്രാഥമിക വിദ്യാഭ്യാസം നേടി.[1] മാഞ്ചസ്റ്ററിലെ ഓവൻസ് കോളേജിൽ (ഇപ്പോൾ വിക്ടോറിയ യൂണിവേഴ്‌സിറ്റി ഓഫ് മാഞ്ചസ്റ്റർ) ചേർന്ന അദ്ദേഹം 1888-ൽ വൈദ്യശാസ്ത്രത്തിൽ യോഗ്യത നേടി.[1]
1898-ൽ അദ്ദേഹം ബല്ലിയേർ, ടിൻഡാൽ, കോക്സ് എന്നീ പ്രസിദ്ധീകരണശാലയുടെ സ്ഥാപകൻ ആൽബർട്ട് എ ടിൻഡാളിന്റെ മകളെ വിവാഹം കഴിച്ചു.[1] [3] അദ്ദേഹം ഡ്രേപ്പേഴ്‌സിന്റെ ആരാധനാപരമായ കമ്പനിയുടെ സജീവ അംഗമായിരുന്നു.[1]
