അമേരിക്കൻ ജേണൽ ഓഫ് നഴ്സിംഗ് അതിന്റെ ഔദ്യോഗിക ജേണലായി 1900-ൽ യുണൈറ്റഡ് സ്റ്റേറ്റ്‌സിലെ അസോസിയേറ്റഡ് അലൂമ്‌നേ ഓഫ് ട്രെയിൻഡ് നഴ്‌സസ് സ്ഥാപിച്ചു, അത് പിന്നീട് അമേരിക്കൻ നഴ്‌സസ് അസോസിയേഷൻ (ANA) ആയി മാറി.
